England Hockey recommend the use of shin pads and gum shields for any player under the age of 16. This matches the Club's belief that this equipment is equally important in the senior game!

Shin pads can be purchased from most sports shops. Gum shields can be ordered through your dentist. Some schools also have arrangements with gum shield providers so that they can be purchased at a discount.

We encourage all junior members to bring this equipment to training and games. We do not make this mandatory (our coaches will not stop your children from playing if they forget this equipment), but we encourage you to bring this kit along to enjoy hockey in a safe environment with us.
