Northampton Hockey Club announce new kit and supplier for the 2018-19 season

Dear club member,
Following close consultation with all players, coaches and parents, Northampton Hockey Club will play in a higher quality and modernised kit from the 2018-19 season onwards.
I am writing to you to inform you that all teams will have a new kit to play in and order for the 2018-19 season, following almost six months of non-stop work by our specially appointed, ‘Kit Committee’.
You may remember the club undertook a survey in 2017 to better understand the needs and desires of the players, coaches and parents regarding playing / training kit. Since then, the results have been collected and closely analysed by the ‘Kit Committee’.
Key results from the survey from both the senior and junior sections highlighted the following considerations:
- Quality – a well-constructed and professional looking kit that lasts well and is supplied by a brand with a proven reputation
- Cost – a senior kit bundle should be charged at less than £100 and juniors under £50
- Stock, ordering and delivery – improve the online experience, cut the complexity of ordering and dramatically speed up the delivery times in line with modern retail expectations

Surridge Sport and Gilt Edged will supply Northampton Hockey Club
The new Northampton Hockey Club playing kit will be manufactured by Surridge Sport and will be stocked and distributed by Gilt Edged. Surridge Sport already supplies Essex County Cricket Club, Sussex County Cricket Club, Mansfiled Town FC, Bath University, Brunel University, Oxford Brookes, Coventry University, Huddersfield Hockey Club and Finchfield Hockey Club, to name just a few.
The senior kit bundle will include two game shirts, a skort or shorts, and two pairs of socks, charged at £95.00. The junior kit bundle will include a playing shirt, one skort or shorts, one pair of socks and a hoody for £35.00.
Next steps and full launch for ordering
The new playing kit will be formally launched in early May.
The main Committee is hugely thankful to those involved in the Kit Committee for the time they have invested and I fully endorse this solution and firmly believe it meets the ‘voice of the club’ which we have listened to and acted upon. Many thanks to all that completed the survey.
