Summer 121 & Focused Clinics

As we move in to the summer months with the last few matches and club training sessions finishing over the next couple of week it is time to announce that our Summer 121 sessions and our new Focused Clinic program at Moulton College - Water Pitch are back for 2021...
We are going to be offering Saturday and Sunday sessions as well as afternoon and evening sessions.
These sessions are for one hour approx and are available to players of all ages and ability
They are a great way to get that little bit of extra focus as one off sessions or part of a longer term coach led development plan in preperation for the new season.
Designed to help you develop specific skills such as..
Backhand Hitting
Backhand or reverse stick hitting is now an integral part of the game for all ages, gone are the days of coaches saying "get your feet round and play open stick"
A fast shot of the back hand is a incredibly powerfull weapon or just as useful as outlet pass to set up a quick counter attack from a tight space.
The backhand hit and pass should be seen as just another core area of the game.
We can help you look at the basic techniques of body, hands and feet positions to ensure you are able to execute this on a repeatable basis.
Aerials
The aerial pass has always been a big part of the game and you can learn how to do this during our sessions. Whether you are a beginner wanting to know the basics or looking to hone the skill to make it more repeatable, with better results we can help by analysing your body, stick and ball position as well as your execution to find the best technique for the individual.
A good aerial can transform the current passage of play and turn defence into attack in a split second!
Drag Flicks
The drag flick is penalty corners! From U14 to senior mens and ladies teams they all have dedicated drag flickers. Having this special skill can give you and your team a great goalscoring opportunity and maybe help with your selection!
Whether you are a beginner wanting to know the basics or looking to hone the skills we look at how improve your power and accuracy, help you understand the importance of your run up body and stick positions...
General Play
If you are looking at improvements to your overall game including ball carrying/dribbling, forehand hitting or 3D skills etc we can help
We will take the time to understand your hockey and what you are looking to achieve and then build the session around this
