Unihoc mini-tournament

Dear Parent / Player,

 
We find ourselves in a similar situation for the second week, where weather conditions have limited hockey training and league matches.  

Under the current circumstances, we have arranged a small “Unihoc” tournament, which will be played inside the Sports Complex between approximately 11.00am to 12.20pm. This is aimed mainly at the Badgers Group Players, but interested parents, family and friends are welcome to join in. Age Group: Approx 11years +. We hope to have a few members of the Adult Mens and Ladies Teams also participating. Please try to be at the Moulton Sports Complex by about 10.50am.
 
Some players may be familiar with “Unihoc”, but for those who are not, it is an indoor game, similar to ice hockey which is gaining popularity, particularly amongst hockey and other sport participants. Instead of the traditional hockey stick and ball, a plastic ice hockey type stick and a puck are used. Teams comprise of approximately 4 – 6 players on pitch and games last about seven minutes each. Players are permitted to play the puck off of walls and as there are extremely limited penalty circumstances, the game can be extremely fast, interesting and good fun.
 
Players should ensure that they bring a pair of standard trainers with them, for use indoors. All sticks and kit for “Unihoc” are available to us (without additional costs) at the Sports Complex. 
 
If all players could please bring the usual £ 5.00 game fee with them to offset costs. Based on numbers, a tea (Soup + Rolls) could be arranged for approximately 12.15 – 12.30, after the “Unihoc”. 
  
Please indicate by return, who will be attending, to allow us to make necessary arrangements for team allocations and also for catering?
