U11s Success!

Published by on

Dear all, just writing to say how proud I am of the 14 young people that represented the club on Sunday. You were great ambassadors for Saints Hockey Club and you really showed everyone how far you have come this season. Mums and Dads, your children were a real credit to you.

Why was today so great?

  1. We managed to get two teams out! We actually had two very good teams with more players joining the squad and showing how talented they are
  2. We came first and second out of five teams, beating Welford, Wellingborough and Kettering by a hatful of goals in each game…..it’s great to win!
  3. All the players had great fun and looked like they were really enjoying themselves!
  4. The players played with a great attitude – we played like a team and everyone worked so hard for each other. It again showed what impact the coaching sessions on a Tuesday and Saturday are having
  5. The boys have been superb,  but we’ve hardly had any girls playing this year and is was great seeing Sukhmani, Sophie, Eloise and Imogen playing so brilliantly. Well done girls!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the family and friends who supported us, it is much appreciated.

Also BIG THANK YOU to the umpires, Del, Anthony , Robyn and Adam (yes he does umpire just like his mother!). It was lovely to see two junior players having the confidence to umpire games and develop their knowledge

Well done everyone, next tournament is in two weeks (3rdApril) so I will contact you next weekend with the details. More importantly, a week later on 10thApril is the big end of season tournament where we play every other club to decide the under 11 champions.

Thanks,

Darren Thorpe
