National Play Day at Abington Park

Northampton Saints and  Kettering Hockey Club recently attended the National Play Day at Abington Park where several thousand children were introduced to different sports for the afternoon.

I went with Ferne Sanders and Katie Barwell and Kettering came with Jan Randle and Liz Metcalfe (nee Randle). 

We offered games, shooting drills with coaching sessions and stickers for eavery child who took part. Over the afternoon we had over 200 children try hockey our and hope to see many join Northampton or Kettering Hockey Clubs in September, we even had a family from Italy!

Thanks to Jan, Liz, Katie and Ferne for lots of hard work on a very hot afternoon!!
