Match Previews for Saturday 7th December

Ladies Section:

The Ladies 2s play Matlock in this re-arranged league match, push back is 11am at Moulton Sports Complex.  Having got off to a great start to the season, the 2s form has tailed off of late and they currently sit in 9th place. However they only remain 4 points off 4th place, and are 1 point behind their opponents Matlock. So a win tomorrow could really make all the difference to the team.

The Ladies 5s are also in action at 11am, hosting Huntingdon in a pre-Christmas friendly. The fixture is being held at Moulton College on the sand base pitch.

The rest of the Ladies section has now finished their league hockey for 2013 so enjoy a well earnt rest.

Men’s Section:

 

The Men’s 2s host Birmingham University at Moulton College (water base) at 12pm. This will be a tough game for Saints with the students currently sitting second in the table, however Saints recent run of results has been improving and a win tomorrow would be a massive step in their relegation fight in the Midlands Premier Division.

The Men’s 3s travel to bottom of the table Coventry & North Warwick in high spirits having scored a stunning 26 goals in their last 3 games! A win tomorrow is key if they are to hold onto the second promotion spot in the East Midlands Premier Division.

The 4s are hosting West Bridgford 5s at Moulton Sports Complex, 2pm push back. Bridgford currently sit 3rd in the table whilst Saints are sitting just above the relegation zone, so it will require all the wiley experience within the team to grind out a result tomorrow.

The 5s face the toughest game of the day as they travel to league leaders Loughborough Students who have currently won 9 out of 9 games this season, scoring 115 goals in the process (and only conceding 3!)!!

 The 6s are at home to Leicester Westleigh, playing at 3.30pm at Moulton Sports Complex.The 6s young side is boosted by the experienced Steve Finch and Steve Roffe tomorrow.

The 7s are also at home as they place West Bridgford 10s. This could be a great chance for the 7s to get a win and climb up to a mid-table position.

 

Mixed Section:

The Mixed 1st team host Fat Cats in the evening push back at Moulton Sports Complex at 5pm.

The 2s are away to Bugbrooke (2pm at Campion School)
