Tomorrow’s (01.02.14) Home Match Previews
11am: The Ladies 2s get the ball rolling at Moulton Sports Complex, as they host Ashbourne in their return to league hockey in the Midlands Feeder East.
11am: Over at Caroline Chisholm School, the Ladies 3s host Daventry 1s in what’s sure to be a tough encounter.
12pm: Men’s 7s host North Notts 5s at Moulton College Sand Base. Jon Keep’s side will look to continue their recent run of form against the bottom of the league side.
12pm: Men’s 2s face Leek at Moulton College Water Base, looking to avenge their 6-2 defeat at Leek at the start of the season. Midfielder Athiq Thamby is having a late fitness test, but otherwise the 2s are at full strength.
12.30pm: Ladies 1s will welcome the return to league hockey as they face Worcester at Moulton Sports Complex. After a slightly disruptive January that’s seen 2 friendlies cancelled, they’ll be jumping at the chance to play some competitive hockey.
12.30pm: Ladies 5s have a tough match against league favourites, Grammarians. The game is at Caroline Chisholm School.
1.30pm: Men’s 3s who have a rare treat playing on the Moulton College Water Base, and will look to continue their fine run of form against Khalsa. Saints currently sit in first spot but only on goal difference, and third place Burton are hot on their heels, just 3 points behind them!
2pm: Men’s 5s have a huge match at Moulton Sports Complex, as they play Beeston 5s. With Beeston sitting just above Saints in the table by 4 points, a win for the 5s will see them drag Beeston into the relegation battle, and give Northampton a real chance of survival.
3.30pm: Badgers youngsters continue to improve week on week, despite being the youngest team in the league. Rugby & East Warwick travel to Moulton Sports Complex tomorrow for this match.
5pm: Mixed face one of the top sides in the league, as Northgate come to Moulton Sports Complex in the evening match. After a fine win in the cup last week, Saints should go into this match full of confidence.
