Level 1 Hockey Coaching Course in May
There are spaces available on UKCC Level 1 Hockey Coach Award to take place on 11th, 17th and 25th May from 9.30am – 5.30pm at Daventry Sports Park, Browns Road.
The course is suitable for those with some experience of playing hockey and with some practice in helping in a coaching or teaching environment. A formal (summative) assessment is included within the course and the candidate will be informed after assessment if they have been awarded the qualification.
The candidate can expect the tutor to introduce:
- Basic techniques
- Principles of play
- Use of small-sided games
- The rules of the game
- Underpinning theory knowledge
- Skills to create a safe, enjoyable and effective environment
- Candidates are advised to gain an Emergency 1st Aid certificate and attend a scUK Good Practice and Child Protection Course or equivalent as soon as possible following the course.
COST – The cost of this course is £160.00. This includes the 1st4sport qualifications course registration fee, course resources and voucher to download coaching material from England Hockey online resources (one year subscription) from the web powered by Sportplan
