Water Based Pitch Cleaning

Moulton College has been working to understand the issues with the Water Based Pitch. The College have had a consultancy company out to assess the problems and they found a collapsed drain, which has lead to drainage problems particularly in one corner of the pitch. This drain is being dug up and repaired on Tuesday 28th October (tomorrow).

This is the main cause of the water not draining away properly. Alongside this Moulton College are also treating the pitch with courses of chemical and are sweeping/cleaning the pitch to remove the algae resulting from the water sitting on the pitch. This is happening on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week (28th and 29th Oct).

So come Men’s club training on Wednesday night (and Ladies training on Thurs), you should all see vast improvements in the state of this pitch.
