What’s on at Moulton on Saturday 7th February

9am: Junior and Back2Hockey Training (@ Moulton College Sand Base).

11am: Badgers vs. Rugby & EW (@ Moulton College Sand Base).

12pm: Men’s 2s vs. Beeston (@ Moulton College Water Base). A tricky match for our 2s, as they face 3rd in the table Beeston. Slightly weakened by some 1st team call ups and the absence of coach Tom Hewitt, Saints resources will be stretched to the limit. But they will look to tap into a memorable 3-1 home victory against the Bees last season to inspire them.

2pm: Men’s 4s vs. Nottingham University (@ Moulton College Water Base).  A good chance for victory here as the 4s take on the mid-table students. Hopefully the wily experience of the 3 stooges: Jason Hillier, Nigel Down and Ian McIllwaine, can get them over the victory line.

2pm: Men’s 5s vs. Rugby & EW (@ Moulton College Sand Base). With both teams level on points, this result could go either way.

3.30pm: Ladies 3s vs. Earls Barton (@ Moulton College Sand Base). 10th placed Saints take on 7th placed Earls Barton, a win for our Ladies will see them draw Earls Barton into the relegation battle.

5pm: Mixed vs. Amateurs (@ Moulton College Sand Base) . Our evening mixed social side containing various Men’s and Ladies club players take on an equally sociable Amateurs in what should prove to be an entertaining game.
 
 

Elsewhere in the County/Midlands:

10am: Ladies 2s vs. Daventry (@ Daventry). A tricky one for the 2s against regular title contenders Daventry. Annie Howard will be looking to continue her recent goal scoring form, after  bagging 4 in her previous league match.

11am: Ladies 1s vs. North Notts (@ Nottingham). A tough away day trip for the ladies, who will seek to maintain their dominance at the top of Midlands Division 1.

12.30pm: Mixed vs. Bugbrooke (@ Campion School).

1.15pm: Men’s 1s v Litchfield (@ Litchfield). Another tough away trip for our 1st team as they travel to second placed Litchfield, who are just 1 point off top spot. Midfielder Dan Whittaker is called into the side after some impressive performances for our 2nd XI.

3pm: Men’s 3s v Leek (@ Leek). The 3s face the arduous trip to Leek. This could be a close one in this mid-table clash.

3.30pm: Men’s 6s v Rugby & EW (@ Rugby).

Game Cancelled: Ladies 4s vs. Rothwell & Desborough (@ Wrenn School). No run out for our Ladies 4s unfortunately as the  opposition were struggling to field a side.
