New Clubhouse is now fully open:

The clubhouse at Moulton College (Gate 3) is now open for business. So all post-match teas will be held here. It’s a great venue which will be serving hot food and drinks. Also it has free Wi-Fi, perfect for posting results on Facebook in the signal black hole that is Moulton!

We are still working with the college to improve this space further, for example getting a license to serve alcohol and increasing the size of the room. In encourage Moulton College to invest more in the Clubhouse we need to show them how much we use it, so please make sure you make every effort to attend post match fees and have a drink.

The club shop will be at junior training on Saturdays once per month (dates TBC). Please contact the club shop directly on [email protected] if you need anything, have queries about outstanding Akuma kit orders or would like them to find the ideal item of clothing or equipment for the season ahead.

New satellite club: Daventry Saints

This year we are working with ex Daventry Men’s Hockey Club members who are interested in playing regular hockey again in Daventry, a new team has been formed and will play as Northampton Hockey Club 7th team in the Central League alongside our current sixth team. Daventry players will be part of NHC as members but will predominantly play their home fixtures in Daventry. They will run under its own budget.

This new satellite club is part of the club’s long term plan to allow talented junior members to progress to the Academy and play in England Hockey Development leagues and ensure that both Moulton and Daventry based Saints prosper and grow. We need to do all we can to support local clubs to ensure that the hockey family grows so that our sport is sustainable.

We are helping to source fixtures, supplying coaches and umpires to them as well as helping them set up another junior section to grow hockey in the Daventry area. They will follow the same coaching programme and should filter seamlessly into whichever side based on playing performance, talent and location.

Daventry Saints members are excited about the new venture and looking forward to being part of a bigger club and hope to attend the Black Tie Dinner, enter teams in the Beer and Grass tournament and have already attended the end of season Golf Day held at Northampton Golf Club.

We are all looking forward to the new season and hope you are too!

From all of the committee & coaches
