Saints Skills Academy is Back for the 19-20 season!

To ensure the Skills Academy delivers it main focus of raising the levels of individual skill we are changing the format slightly to keep the sessions more focused. We are planning on running blocks of sessions over the course of the season.

Who Should Attend? – 12 to 16 year olds, (school years 7-10).

When is the First Block? – 2nd October to 23rd October. Break for October Half Term. 6th November to 11th December.

Where are the Sessions? – Wednesday nights 7 to 8pm at Moulton College Gate 4 Water based pitch.

Why Skills?  – It is aimed at junior players who want to improve their technical skills and become stronger players.

What Skills will be Covered?  – A variety of core game essential skills that will include: –

Hitting on the move

Hitting for distance

Goal scoring

Aerial passing

Reverse/Backhand shooting and passing

3D Skills

1v1 Elimination skills

Drag flicking and short corner skills/shuffles

Trapping on the move

Trapping the bouncing ball

Defensive methods / tackling

All participants will need to be registered as payment will be charged electronically to your account. Sessions will cost £4 each

Further details around booking the blocks will be available shortly with players signing up in advance.

Please not this is in addition to attending under 12/14 sessions and club training for under 16’s.
