April update and new sponsors

Hi all,

Following the official close of the season last weekend for the adult sections, my thanks go to all the players who’ve contributed to the club in our range of men’s and ladies teams this season. The commitment to regularly attend training sessions and matchdays (in all conditions!) has been hugely appreciated by coaches, captains and team mates alike.

In addition, a big thank you to the junior players who have stepped up into senior hockey this year and performed extremely well,  often under challenging circumstances. The club hugely values your contribution this season and extends our thanks to the parents (I’m one of them!) who manage the family logistics to get you to the right place at the right time with the right kit!

Finally to our many volunteers, coaches and umpires – a HUGE thank you. We would not be able to run training and matchday operations without you and all of our members, junior and senior, owe you so much for your help and guidance this season. Indeed, we are always looking for more help, so if you would like to get involved in any capacity please do contact me – we can always find jobs for people!

But even though the season has finished….the hockey story doesn’t quite stop there.

Junior training continues for a few more weeks, there’s Pay 2 Play on Wednesdays, then we’ll be looking at Summer League…and of course we’re all excited about our end of season awards presentation dinner on May 7th. A lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes here and we’re already on course for a record attendance in recent times – so if you haven’t yet secured your ticket,  please do so and join us!
