A Bundle of Results from this Weekend’s Matches

Ladies 5s produced an awesome display to beat a much more experienced Oundle 2s 6-0.

Hester & Erin dominated the middle of the pitch, playing with speed, skill & vision way beyond there 12 years.

Bethany & Bea both proved  themselves capable of playing well in a variety of positions today.

Ellie’s exceptional pace down the left destroyed Oundle’s defence.

Josie & Immy battled hard, forming an effective partnership on the right. Player of the match Ruby was lethal in the final quarter of the pitch, coming away with a hatrick.

Goals – Cecilie, Erin (2), Ruby (3).

Player of match – Ruby

Wally of week – Bea (moulded her gumshield in a cup of hot chocolate!)

Saints Ladies 3s

After a disappointing result last week the Ladies 3s worked hard at training and took everything we learnt into todays game. Our press was much better, we took free hits quickly surprising the opposition and we were working together as a team. Despite a 3-0 loss against a strong physical Oundle team there was lots of positives to take away from today. Special shout out to Jess B for her Saints debut, having started training this week. Shake up of positions saw Kathryn being moved from centre forward to full back where she had an absolutely amazing game. Her strong tackles meant Oundle rarely got past her. MOM – Kathryn. DOD – Laura O for her first ever green card!

L1

2-2 v Ashby

Some really good play all round but still plenty to work on as we adapt to different / new ways styles of play. Goals from dani Austin and captain Elise porter

Mens 7’s enjoyed their teas in the white Hart in Ashby 5-1 loss played like hero’s (still in pub)! It was a great game with most of the lads having their best performances so far for the club. Particularly pleasing was the presence of two of the clubs Malcolm Arnold Academy squads playing their second club games.

With masses of players off with flu this weekend and down to a bare eleven, Saints Men’s Fours put in a Sick performance to beat Coventry Threes 4-1. 2 goals each from Raffa Scaccia and Seb Crick sealed victory in a game that was totally dominated by Saints highly organised pressing, movement into space and devastating injections of pace. MOM Kendo for perfect execution of The Plan. DOD Seb for faking an injury (although the massive lump looked pretty convincing at the time!) Great work boys!

Ladies 2’s played against Towcester 2’s! Saints started really well and the youth used their skill and speed against a much older Towcester side. Towcester conceded a short corner and saints capitalised on a well worked set piece with a great flick from Elise Ramoo! Towcester had flurries of play with little end product and Ella Lewis in goal having very little to do. In the 2nd half a sweeping move resulted in another goal from open play again from Elise. In a pleasant game, the ladies 2’s won for the second week running! Notable contributions from Grace Noble who dominated the middle of the pitch and tireless running from Hattie Foredham and Hattie Kendrick. Man of the match went to Katie Fidler who is new to the 2’s side but is cementing her place with another stand out performance. Tougher opponents lie ahead!

The Ladies 4s we’re playing against Long Buckby at home. The opposition had a strong defence all game and they gave us a good fight. But Tilly Neeson, Khushi Praveen and Stella Grayson were all able to break through that defensive line. The score was a 3-1 win.

Khushi got Man of the Match for her outstanding midfielding.
