The Under 12 Girls teams play in local tournaments which are single gender, 7  a side on half pitches, everyone who is available gets to play as we can take multiple teams. There are some competitions that we enter where we can only enter one side and coaches will select the strongest side, these tend to be regional tournaments against strong clubs.

Team selection is different for the England Hockey Junior Championships and the Northamptonshire competitions. The England Hockey competition teams are selected so we field our strongest teams and for the Northamptonshire tournaments we take everyone who is available to play as the tournaments are less formal.
