Ladies 2s beat Daventry 4-1! In a very warm game the girls went behind to a breakaway goal with what felt like Daventry first real opportunity in the Saints 23 after 20 mins. Saints then turned the screw and dominated possession playing the right way by switching the play and changing the pictures. A plucky 2 – 1 home win from the Mens 1s against Warwick University on Saturday. After going down early, the team regrouped and managed to take control of the game for large parts of the first half. Saints Men’s 2s beat Rugby and East Warwickshire 3s 4-0 in a relegation 6 pointer on Saturday. Scott Hinsley opened the scoring before half time and Harry Fidler doubled our lead with his first goal for the club. Ladies 5s lost 5-1 v Rugby & East Warks 4 on Saturday, a scoreline that rather flatters the opposition. Despite the result, Saints defended well, forcing the opposition wide and dominating the centre of the pitch. On the attack there were some great give-and-go passes.
