Comeback Queens The Ladies 3s played Earls Barton yesterday and were 2-0 down at half time due to a brace of short corner goals. Saints made a great comeback after the break though, showing some lovely teamwork to make it 2-2 with goals from Olivia and Charlotte. Another Windy Day

Another windy day yesterday, and a fantastic result for the Ladies 3s with a 6-1 win against Nuneaton. Maddie Murphy scored a hat-tick (did she get the beers in? – ed), Olivia Witts was MoM, and Mel made some lovely saves. Remember; Goalkeepers are Amazing People! Mens 5s also won, beating Ashby 6-2. Back to Winning Ways Result of the Week goes to Ladies 1s who earned a hugely-deserved 2-0 win against Leek! Sants’ goals were scored by Chloe and Cavey, her first league goal for the squad. On Me ‘Ead Son! The Men’s 1s entertained West Bridgford at Moulton on Saturday. In a tense opening, Saints had three well worked open play chances that forced reaction saves from the visiting Keeper. Dominating possession with confident passing, the breakthrough came on the 25th minute with a fully deserved short corner from Rhys Noble. A Frosty Start to the New Year

Winter did it’s best to spoil our fun on Saturday, but the Mens 5s we’re lucky enough that Warwick’s pitch had thawed out by four o’clock, and it was a good thing too as Saints put 5 goals past the home team and kept a clean sheet themselves. All home games are cancelled today as the pitches are frozen and the sun is not getting to the pitch due to fog. Captains will let you know when these will rearranged. The clubhouse is open from 3pm if anyone would like to have a Saturday afternoon drink.
