Club Awards & Celebration Night - Booking Deadline

Posted by Jon Noble on 19 April 2022

The Club Celebration and Awards Night with Home Outlet Stores is now SOLD OUT with 205 attendees.

This is an amazing response from the club members and should make the evening a really special occasion

For those who have note booked as yet we are delighted to say we have managed to secure an extension to 17.00 Thursday 28th April.

As we count down to the evening we preview of some of the awards on offer and what to expect on the night.

We were delighted to have FMCG recruitment specialists The Recruitment Group sponsoring one of the big awards of the night – The Players’ Player award. Each team will vote for their own champion in a category often referred to as the one the players like to win, as it’s a validation of their performances from the teammates who’ve been alongside them all season.

Alongside this is our Captain’s Pick award – a new honour this season, for each captain or leadership group to single out an individual for special merit typically down to consistent displays, teamwork and excellence in the eyes of those responsible for selecting the team. In a twist this time, these awards will all be pre-recorded and shown on the giant screen in the Buckingham Suite at the Park Inn, Northampton. No long and boring speeches here folks!

Another new award to feature this time is the Stowe School Breakthrough Player Award. It’s been a phenomenal effort by our huge pool of junior talent this season, making a major impact on the senior sides in both the mens and the ladies teams. One boy and one girl will be selected to receive the award from a whole host of potential candidates, all with extremely strong cases to be the winner.

We’ll preview the other awards, including the main award – the Deane Roofing Player of the Year award – next week, but here’s some other information and FAQ’s that you might find useful:

Q. It says black tie, but I don’t have one – do I need to wear a full dinner jacket?

A. We encourage guests to wear black tie if they are able to, however with current cost of living issues as they are, we understand that this may result in extra expense in which case, a normal suit and tie is also acceptable. Absolutely no jeans.

Q. Do I need a ticket to get access the event?

A. We are not issuing printed tickets, but we will have a reception desk with a list names of all the purchased tickets – our event team will tick you off the list as you arrive. Please note that if you arrive on the night have not registered a ticket you will be refused entry.

Q. Can I turn up on the door and pay on the day?

A. No. We will confirm numbers to the hotel in advance and be charged as such. Anyone turning up on the night without tickets will be denied entry.

Q. Can I park in the car park without having to pay?

A. Yes. Guests on the night can scan a QR code on arrival and use the car park without paying, cars may be collected the morning afterwards.

Q. What time does it finish? Can I go to town afterwards?

A. The event closes at 1am.  We do have a DJ and entertainment in the suite so we encourage you to stay as long as possible and party with your teammates and friends!
