Lloyd Atkinson

In the early 80's I was Professional Dolphin trainer but after an unfortunate incident with Flipper and Sardine I was forced to retire... I then spent many years at the bottom of a bottle until in 1988 I discovered Hockey. Soon as I picked up the stick I was destined for glory. I secured my place on the British team by black mailing the coach with ‘Exposing Photographs’. I went the Soul Olympics and single handily won the Gold medal.
Coming back home a superstar wasn’t easy dealing with all the fame fortune and fast women I gradually slipped of the wagon… many years passed I found myself working a dead end job and eating baked beans out of a can, but something truly amazing happened I was walking down Abington Street and met a preacher who goes by the name of Rev. Andy Dale. He said “Praise be my brother you where once lost and now you have been found” I was completely lost with his drivel until he said “Look into my eyes, not around the eyes ok your under… Pick up a hockey stick and gum Shield and pay me £100 to play for Northampton Hockey Club” so I did and haven’t looked back I’ve played all levels of the club, I think its fair to say I am possible the best player to have joined the club with my immense pace, Stick skills, leadership, modesty, passion, dreamweavering and vision!!

Paul Madeley

Preferred position: Goalkeeper

I joined the club in 2005 as the 3rd team goalkeeper. 2 years later as the 2nd team captain we gained successive promotions so I dutifuly handed captain duties over to Fluff who lead us to our 3rd promotion in as many years. Realising that the previous 2 years promotions had been nothing to do with my superior leadership I became a total recluse and now eek out a living in pubs and clubs as a look-a-like of Bobby from popular TV animation King of the Hill.
