Support a Sapper
3 Troop of 34 Field Squadron in the Royal Engineers are currently away on Operations in the Middle East. Though not directly in a war zone, they are living in fairly basic conditions and will not be returning until March 2010. So I am collecting some goodies for morale packages to send out to them, especially over the Christmas period. These “Support a Sapper” packages will be sent out at the end of November and could do with some help!
I am looking for some things to put in them like magazines, sweets, biscuits, silly toy, handheld games, tshirts, Christmas decorations etc or you can write a Christmas card, a letter or draw a picture…something that will cheer these 30 guys up whilst they are away!
So if you get a chance to throw a few extra bits in your trolley or could spare a few minutes to put pen to paper, then Nicky Milford will be at Moulton Sports Complex on Saturday and club training on Tuesdays. Or you can just send an email to forward on to the guys at supportthesappers@hotmail.com
